The second edition of API MPMS Chapter 14.10 "LNG Measurement -- Flare Gas Flow Measurement" has been published in December 2021.

The important factors of flare gas flow measurement include statistics, material balance, energy saving, emission reduction and supervision.  The torch is a safe discharge system that is often subject to unpredictable flow rates and different components.  For safety reasons, even for a short period of time, the torch is not suitable to stop working for measurement.
